- **Event Description**: Take part in this workshop which offers an introduction to knowledge mobilisation (KM) as an approach to enable research impact.About this EventKnowledge Mobilisation challenges the one-way dissemination of research which often occurs at the end of a research project and instead advocates for an integrative, two-way approach to impact. Whilst there is no one right way to “do knowledge mobilisation”, this workshop will offer insights into key components of knowledge mobilisation, including real-world examples and practical tips which attendees can apply to their research projects.The workshop is aimed at researchers, practitioners and professional staff in the College of Arts Humanities and Social Science (CAHSS), interested in understanding how knowledge can be accessed, used and applied to inform policy and practice.At the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to:1. Come up with a definition of KM and examples of KM in practice;2. Explain how KM differs from knowledge dissemination, exchange or transfer;3. Identify diverse KM outputs and determine their suitability for different contexts;4. Draft a timeline for KM and a KM planThis in-person workshop will be taking place in SL3.23, St Leonards Land.Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.The workshop is being organised by Dr Sarah Morton | The University of Edinburgh(Health and Wellbeing Co-lead) and facilitated by Sarah Janac | The University of Edinburgh.
