- **Event Description**: The well-known Jazz vocalist Iain Ewing returns to the Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club with the Chevaliers! If you're an Edinburgh Lindy Hopper, you'll almost certainly know this band from social dances at the Edinburgh Swing Dance Society in Stockbridge.

The quintet played for us in February 2024 and was fantastic, which is not difficult with a line-up of Campbell Normand on the piano, Roy Percy playing the double bass, Jim Drummond as drummer and Colin Steele on his matt-golden trumpet. Plus Iain of course!

The band promises an evening filled with swinging Jazz tunes, great for dancing Lindy Hop, Jive and Foxtrot, with some tunes strewn in for Balboa and Collegiate Shag too. You can of course also just lots of fun just listening to this great ensemble.

The Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club offers on Fridays live Jazz music in a relaxed club house atmosphere, with a bar and an excellent, wooden dance floor. The music is generally suitable for dancing Foxtrot and Swing (Lindy Hop, Shag, Balboa). Come along to listen to superb Jazz and to dance the evening away!

No need to book in advance, just come along! The entry fee is £12 for non-members and £10 for members. Entry is free for accompanying carers and accompanied children. The fee can be paid at the door by card and cash. The main entrance is from Bangholm Terrace, with step-free access from Warriston Gardens corner Inverleith Row.
