Stagecraft Unleashed – Move, Explore Sound & Connect in Improv
Step into new worlds beyond your average improv. In this immersive weekend intensive with Finnish improv artist and teacher Kaisa Kokko-Palmer, we'll expand how you move, listen, and connect on stage.
Across three unique sessions, you’ll unlock tools for physical storytelling, musicality, and duo-based improv that deepen trust, emotion, and creative freedom.
🎨 Day 1 Morning – Viewpoints in Improv
Discover how time, space, and movement shape your improv. Using Viewpoints (Anne Bogart & Tina Landau), you’ll play with tempo, duration, spatial awareness, and gesture to create powerful stage pictures and dynamic ensemble connection. Expect to move and discover how the body tells story before words do.
🎶 Day 1 Afternoon – Music is Us!: Music & Soundscapes in Improv
Turn your voice and body into instruments! You’ll explore group listening, rhythm, and vocal play to create music and atmosphere without instruments. Learn how soundscapes and song can heighten emotion, influence character, and inspire whole scenes.
🤝 Day 2 – Duo-prov: The Art of Two
There’s magic when two improvisers truly trust each other. In this session, you’ll explore the dynamics of two-person improv — connection, shared vulnerability, emotional flow, and stage composition. Build multiple characters, discover intuitive edits, and craft meaningful stories that feel effortless.
Join with a current partner, a future one, or come solo and discover the world of duo improv together!
