- **Event Description**: Explore the beautiful Gaelic language by learning some songs in Gaelic.About this EventThe Gaelic language has a rich song tradition stretching from the first millennium to the present day. Come along to learn about it and to learn a few songs yourself.We’ll discuss the richness of the Gaelic song and poetic tradition and go over the words, tunes, and translations of a few examples. There is no need to be a confident singer - all are welcome to come along and have a go!Earlier the same day, there will be a Gaelic workshop where you can learn about the culture, history and a taster of the language! You can book tickets here.Important points to noteThis event is suitable for age 16+Event format: This event is a workshop and will involve singing aloud as a group and interacting with a group.Filming: Photography may take place at this event. She graduated with an MA (Hons) Celtic and followed this up with an MLitt Language Policy and Planning from the University of Aberdeen. She worked professionally in Gaelic development for ten years before embarking on freelance work.She began teaching Gaelic to adults in 2017. Her teaching style is creative, enthusiastic, and responsive. She has taught all levels of Gaelic language, from Beginner to Advanced.Bria has been a singer from a young age, dabbling in genres from jazz to opera.
