# Event Details - **Event Name**: Frontiers of Repression, Resistance and Solidarity in a Time of Genocide - **Event Start and End Date**: Thu, 26 Feb, 2026 at 10:00 am – Thu, 26 Feb, 2026 at 04:00 pm - **Event Description**: A symposium for interdisciplinary dialogue among academicsAbout this EventOrganisers: Dr Raad Khair Allah, Dr Pietro Stefanini, Dr Toufic Haddad, Dr Deepshikha BeheraThe unprecedented scale and speed of Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza has exposed, identified and accelerated political, military, and legal features of Israeli-Palestinian ‘conflict’ dynamics, as well as features of the global order as once was known. Much like the 1948 Nakba,, the social and cultural dimensions of life in Gaza have been transformed in ways that will persist for generations. Although the full implications of these shifts are as of yet undetermined, it is clear that the genocide brought about qualitative alterations which are already felt within Palestine and in theatres well beyond. This workshop seeks to create a space for interdisciplinary dialogue among academics grappling with the transformations in repression, resistance, and solidarity brought about by the Gaza genocide. In addition to highlighting the works of these academics and putting them in dialogue with one another, this workshop aims to engender a community of scholars who can collectively share and develop analysis on the ‘afterlife’ of the genocide in Palestine.This event is supported by the Susan Manning Workshop Fund from IASH.This is a free event, which means we overbook to allow for no-shows and to avoid empty seats. While we generally do not have to turn people away, this does mean we cannot guarantee everyone a place.
