4-Day Training with Steven Goldstein

16–19 October 2026 | Brunswick Hotel, Edinburgh, Scotland

9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. BST

Designed as a progressive journey, the course moves from whole-body fascial principles into a practical understanding of how safety, regulation, and touch interact in clinical practice.

Days 1–2: Foundations in Fascial Therapy

The first two days establish the core framework that underpins all of Steven Goldstein’s work.

You’ll explore:

- How fascia responds to both direct and indirect touch
- Recognising global patterns of tension rather than treating symptoms in isolation
- Working with joints and soft tissue as an integrated system
- Creating change with less pressure and greater clarity
- Developing touch skills that are effective, sustainable, and client-centred

Days 3–4: Polyvagal Theory in Practice

The final two days focus on applying Polyvagal Theory to hands-on therapy in a grounded, ethical, and clinically relevant way.

You’ll learn:

- How the autonomic nervous system shapes pain, tension, and healing
- Recognising signs of safety, threat, and regulation in your clients
- How touch, breath, tone, and pacing influence nervous system responses
- Practical ways to support calm, trust, and co-regulation during treatment
- Working confidently when emotional responses arise, without overstepping scope

This section is taught with a strong emphasis on practical application, not abstract theory.

This course is ideal for:

- Massage therapists
- Bowen practitioners
- Osteopaths and physios
- Bodyworkers and manual therapists

It’s particularly relevant if you:

- Work with anxious, sensitive, or chronically tense clients
- Want better results without increasing pressure
- Feel unsure how to respond when emotional responses emerge during sessions
- Want to integrate nervous system awareness into your existing hands-on style

No previous Polyvagal training is required.

Across four immersive days, you’ll gain:

- A fascia-first framework that supports whole-body change
- Greater confidence working with complex or sensitive clients
- Tools to create safer, calmer sessions without losing effectiveness
- Techniques that reduce strain on your own body while improving outcomes

Teaching is hands-on, experiential, and delivered in small groups to allow for depth, discussion, and individual guidance.
