Enhancing the heart of Gilmerton village: drop in to give your views

We’re working with the Gilmerton Community Centre, a local registered charity, on a bid to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic Environment Scotland. We’ve a shared a vision of restoring and enhancing key buildings in the Gilmerton conservation area.
We want to make them more efficient and affordable to run as well as more accessible for all. The project would also deliver
- opportunities to learn about the history and heritage
- training opportunities in traditional skills for Edinburgh College construction students
- environmental programmes such as tree planting.
We really want to hear from people who live, volunteer or visit community projects in Gilmerton. Your views and ideas are important to us and to help secure the funding it needs.
