Larkin's trenchant views on the music, beautifully expressed as befits one who turned down the post of Poet Laureate, are a great stimulus for discussion and analysis. Nearly all of the recordings which found their way onto his gramophone to be reviewed are now available on YouTube, often with video footage of the performances and interviews with the artists.
