We are beyond excited to welcome Scottish Science-Fiction legend Ken MacLeod to Edinburgh to launch his much awaited new book Beyond the Hallowed Sky. Ken will be in conversation with fellow writer and scientist Ruth Aylett. 
Copies of the book are available to pre-order using the ticket link, or for sale on the day.

7pm - 9pm: Event Horizon - ticketed
The return of Edinburgh’s best SF cabaret with Shoreline of Infinity. Celebrate the winner of the 2021 Flash Fiction Competition, try your luck in the raffle and enjoy MC Russell Jones’ excellent SF jokes.

About the venue

The Assembly Roxy has ramped access to the hall and a accessible toilet. 

The bar is within the hall and open all day for tea, coffees (filter) and other beverages. There’s many cafes and a Tesco, Lidl and Sainsbury’s within walking distance. 

Please note that there is no longer free parking in Edinburgh City Centre on a Sunday (12:30pm to 6pm). There is free parking within 15 minutes walk of the Roxy. See the map here

The closest bus stop to the Assembly Roxy is South Bridge or Surgeon’s Hall. Consult Lothian Buses here 

This events remains subject to the social distancing guidelines set in place by the Scottish Government and may be subject to last-minute change or cancellation. Tickets will be refunded automatically if this is the case. Cymera is committed to safeguarding our staff, authors and audiences from Covid-19 and are acting under continual advice and supervision from local authorities. The Festival is currently working to a 1m social distance for audiences at this event.
