With these pens, we will then learn the 'Foundational hand' script. Once you have practiced the script we will use the letters in a more creative way! ....or 'Abstract Calligraphy ' as i like to call it! At the end of the workshop, you will go home with your practice sheets (to practice at home) and confidence in using a Calligraphy pen.Artist Bio:I'm a Calligrapher and paper artist using words and languages to express myself(whether legible or not!!!). Ever since I was taught Calligraphy, all of my art,(whatever material I'm working with), has incorporated lettering in some form...abstract or traditional. I currently work from my studio (or paper jungle as I like to call it!!) combining Calligraphy with paper sculptures... words expressed in a new way!Donation:There's an optional donation to go towards the running costs of the classes - this stops people booking up all the free tickets then not showing up! Eventbrite requires £1 to be entered in the box but we can refund that in cash when you attend the class, or you can put it towards a cup of tea from the kitchen ☕
