- **Event Description**: Using AI for automated radiology reportingAbout this EventArtificial intelligence is becoming a big part of modern healthcare. But how much responsibility should we trust AI with?Explore this technical and ethical dilemma in our Curious workshop, hosted by Canon Medical Research Europe and the CHAI Hub.What you can expect:· A short introduction to how AI is being used in medical imaging today, including a real-world case study from Canon.· A guided debate where you'll work in small groups to explore arguments both for and against the use of AI in radiology reporting.· Opportunities to share your views, ask questions and discuss the wider impact of AI on healthcare.By the end of the workshop, you'll have a clearer understanding of how AI is being used in healthcare, the benefits and risks it could bring, and the important questions it raises about trust, responsibility and decision-making in healthcare settings.Note for attendees: No specialist knowledge around artificial intelligence or healthcare is needed, but it’s helpful to note that this workshop involves talking about your perspectives with others.Important points to noteThis event is suitable for age 16+Event format: This event is a workshop and may involve some audience interaction. This could involve group activities, individual activities, quizzes or hands-on activities.Content warning: A radiograph is an x-ray image of the inside of a body (the bones and organs). While there will be no deliberately gory pictures, photos of x-rays will be shown during the workshop.Filming: Photography may take place at this event.
