Across the day, we'll examine how AI can support innovation at every stage of the brain health pathway, including:Risk stratification – identifying who is most at riskEarly detection and diagnosis – spotting conditions sooner and more accuratelyPrevention – reducing risk where possibleTreatment and care – developing better pathways, including personalised medicineWe will explore how these advances can lead to improved patient outcomes and wider societal benefits – while remaining clear-eyed about the challenges and responsibilities that come with using AI in healthcare.Who should attendThis event has been designed with a wide audience in mind, including:Academics and researchers working in AI, neuroscience, neurology, informatics and related fieldsClinicians and healthcare professionalsThose working in industryPhD students and early-career researchersThe day offers a valuable opportunity to build new collaborations, share expertise and help shape the future of AI-driven brain health research at Edinburgh and beyond.Agenda🕑: 09:00 AM - 09:30 AMRegistration including coffee and pastries🕑: 09:30 AM - 09:45 AMOpening remarksInfo: Professor Lorna Marson, Professor of Transplant Surgery and Dean of Clinical Medicine , University of Edinburgh🕑: 09:45 AM - 10:15 AMKeynote speakerInfo: Dr Dimitrios Vitsios, Senior Director, Agentic AI Innovation Lead, Astra Zeneca🕑: 10:15 AM - 11:00 AMPatient voice discussionInfo: Chair: Professor Liz Grant, Professor of Global Health and Development and Director Global Health Academy, University of Edinburgh.
