In this hands-on class, you’ll master the art of tying the legendary Mr. Rapidan series, created by Harry Murray himself. You'll walk away with three highly effective flies, each designed to imitate a specific stage of the mayfly’s transformation:
Mr. Rapidan Bead Head Nymph – Representing the underwater stage, this weighted nymph gets down fast and triggers strikes from feeding trout.
Mr. Rapidan Emerger – Learn to tie this transitional pattern that imitates the mayfly as it rises to the surface, a favorite target for selective fish.
Mr. Rapidan Dry Fly – A classic Appalachian pattern that floats high and fools even the wariest trout during a hatch.
