About the performer:
Seung Dong Lee (b. 1980, Seoul, South Korea) has devoted his life to the saxophone since the beginning of his musical studies. After graduating from Yonsei University in Seoul, he moved to France to continue his training under Philippe Portjoie, Daniel Gremelle, and Pierric Leman. He earned advanced diplomas from the CRR of Rueil-Malmaison and the CRD of Évry, as well as the Diploma of Improvement from the CRD of Issy-les-Moulineaux.

Seung Dong Lee has established himself as a distinguished performer. Lee is an endorsed performer with Henri Selmer Paris and Vandoren. He also maintains a distinguished teaching career as professor at Gangneung National University, Sangmyung University, Sungshin Women’s University, Gachon University, Chugye Arts University, Anyang University, Seoul Arts High School, and Yewon Arts School.

As a soloist, he has appeared with orchestras such as the Seoul Symphony Orchestra, Siheung Symphony, Geumcheon Symphony, and the Yonsei Wind Orchestra.

His international career has taken him across Europe, Asia, and the United States, with masterclasses and concert appearances in France, Italy, Taiwan, China (Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Xiamen, Harbin, Shijiazhuang, Qingdao), Japan, Thailand, and the United States. He currently serves as Chief of the Nova Saxophone Ensemble.
