- **Event Description**: Following a sold-out show at The Dock in 2024, Fair Green return to Carrick-on-Shannon alongside Glasgow-based folk singe Lavinia Blackwall on Saturday 21 February.

Fair Green is an alternative rock band working out of the west of Ireland. After years honing his craft in electronic music production and performance, Harry Bouchier was seeking a new project and medium to express himself. Through this, the Fair Green project was born.

After collaborating with Thomas James Simon, the songwriting and production process took on an unmistakable stench of the 90s — paying homage to Rufus Wainright, Supergrass, Radiohead, Blur and Elliot Smith whilst also harboring a tinge of 60s melody. The introduction of Udo Grunewald created a new dimension of possibility for the band, who offered his vast experience as a studio musician to give the band a rock solid rhythm section. With Roy Branagan on lead guitar, the band's assembly was complete.

The band’s debut ten-track album Killer Universe was recorded at The Barne Studios in Glasgow, and is set for release in early 2026.
A classically trained soprano, Lavinia Blackwall first gained recognition as the lead singer of Trembling Bells, a Glasgow-based psych-folk outfit known for their ambitious blending of folk traditions with rock and baroque influences. Over the course of seven albums with the band, she honed her signature vocal style — often compared to Fairport Convention’s Sandy Denny — and collaborated with legends such as Bonnie Prince Billy and Mike Heron of The Incredible String Band. Stepping out as a solo artist, Blackwall released her debut album Muggington Lane End in 2020, which was met with widespread acclaim for its lush arrangements and intricate songwriting.

Blackwall released her new album The Making in May 2025 to widespread acclaim. A rich tapestry of folk, rock, and psych-power pop, the album showcases Blackwall’s unparalleled vocal prowess and evocative songwriting, further cementing her reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music.
