This year, something special is unfolding.

We’ve heard from so many families, bakers, artists, and first-time creators who wanted to join but needed a little more time. So we’re expanding our participation window to make sure everyone who wants to be part of this can step into the magic with us.

Sweet Homes of Edgartown isn’t just a gingerbread competition. It’s a moment for our community to create together, to slow down, and to bring something meaningful into this season. Whether you’re building a classic cottage, a lighthouse, a village, a balloon, or something completely unexpected, your creation belongs here.

Three winners will be selected, with prizes including local gift cards, Vineyard-themed baskets, and the title of “Most Martha’s Vineyard Spirit.”

Every entry supports the  Animal Shelter of Martha's Vineyard - the Island’s quiet and essential heartbeat for animals who need care, safety, and a second chance.

Event Details
Drop-off: Friday, December 12 | 12–5 PM
Public Viewing + Voting: December 13–14 | 10 AM–3 PM
Winners announced Sunday at 3 PM
Location: Mad Martha's Ice Cream, Edgartown
Entry Fee: $5 per creation
