About the event

Traces: Sound, Space, Memory
“Traces: Sound, Space, Memory”
Dr. Katrina Clements, clarinet

Blending live clarinet performance with electronic soundscapes and striking visual elements, “Traces: Sound, Space, Memory” is a multimedia recital that explores the intersections of music, technology, and imagery. Featuring contemporary works that integrate electronics, visual media and artistic collaboration, the program offers a layered sensory experience. Program highlights include Cacophony by Jenni Brandon, a solo clarinet work using delay pedal effects alongside original acrylic paintings; I’d Known This Place by Dan Caputo, which pairs live audio with generative animations to explore memory through repetitions; and Memory Holder by Gillian Rae Perry, reflecting on memories sparked by personal objects. Together, these works blur the boundaries of traditional performance, inviting listeners into a space where sound and image shape meaning together.
