“My surreal sculptured paintings are lush landscapes featuring a road or path theme exploring the majesty of trees and the bold, intense color found in Nature along with Spirituality of life away from the chaos and hardships. My pieces have a tremendous amount of texture and depth, literally jumping off the canvas. This unique style leaves the viewer to contemplate the correlation between nature and the surreal.

I combine both paintbrush and pallet knife along with various other useful objects and applications to achieve various preliminary thicknesses of paint and texture. I then use sculpture and carving to enhance and create the richly textured paint on the canvas.

The brilliant layers of colors and vibrant contrasts create a calm, serene, and peaceful effect, which helps the mind connect to the universe through my contemporary approach to landscapes.

My paintings invite you to be inspired by the metaphor of the mystery and the journey of life along with a spiritual retreat to the viewer as I believe 3-dimensional texture not only enhances the boldness of the paint and the depth of the image but also allows the external light to impact upon the painting, creating a constant change of what the viewer observes.”
