Meet the Speaker: Local resident Jeanette Dorner grew up in Graham near Eatonville, where Muck Creek runs through her family’s land. Her connection to the creek and interest in salmon that once traveled up the creek from the Nisqually River inspired her passion for wildland restoration. After studying geology and ecosystem restoration, Jeanette has worked with government and nonprofit groups to restore habitats and recover salmon. She is now the Executive Director of the Nisqually Land Trust, which owns and stewards around 6000 acres of fish and wildlife habitat important to the Nisqually River watershed.
