# Event Details

- **Event Name**: We Are the Watershed: The role of arts in conservation
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 29 Mar, 2026 at 03:00 pm
- **Event Description**: This will be a panel discussion facilitated by Shaun Haskins articulating the role the arts play in understanding what’s happening in our watershed, and the role each of us play (or can play, for those not yet involved) in helping revive the health of the watershed (lands, rivers, bay, all beings).

Included will be an outline for the call to action of what will take place on Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd during the We Are the Watershed event, particularly during the "Becoming the Watershed" (tentative name, based on "Becoming Seagrass") performance. Each volunteer performer will be called to choose a creature or element that is a part of the watershed, research that being or element, and come prepared to represent that being. The representation could take the form of a story, poem, dance, song, etc. and each person is asked to dress as the being.

There is no cost to attend this presentation; donations are gratefully accepted if you're able to help support our mission of providing quality arts programming to the community.
