Eastport's New Year's Eve: Great Sardine & Maple Leaf Drop

Come join in on the community-wide celebration of New Year's Eve in Eastport! This is the 21st year of the unique celebration of New Year's in both Atlantic Canada and Maine and the East Coast of the USA, organized by the Tides Institute & Museum of Art. Watch the Canadian Maple Leaf sculpture descend at 11 pm ET and stay for the Sardine Drop at midnight ET. This year's festivities include performances at the Eastport Arts Center, special dinners at area restaurants and gathering places, sales and celebratory offerings at local stores and galleries, drumming by the Cipelahq Ehpicik (Thunder Women) and a chem-free location for arts and craft activities for all ages.
