Do you know what an estuary is and why it is so vital our economy and way of life? Join the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve as we explore the estuary we depend on. Participants will learn about the habitats and creatures that make up our estuary and how the river and bay are intricately connected. We will see these habitats up close aboard the Reserve’s research vessel the Tideline.
The class cost is free to attend but you must get tickets before class, as spaces fill up fast. Please be sure to bring weather appropriate clothing, water, sunscreen, and eat lunch in advance.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting wet.
Please Note this trip may require moderate walking and climbing in and out of a boat
This class is intended for adult education purposes, so we kindly ask that people registering be 16 years or older.
