What you need to know for the first practice: 
1.  You need a mouth-guard. You will not be permitted to skate without one. We recommend Sisu (https://www.sisuguard.com/sisu-aero-mouth-guard/).

2. You do not need any other gear to start- we will get you set-up with everything else that you need (including skates, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards). But! If you have your own gear you are welcome to bring it. 

3. Practice is from 8-10pm Mondays and Thursdays. Please aim to be at Bushkill Park by 7:45 so you have time to gear up and prep for practice.

4. We will be practicing at Bushkill from 12/2-2/2 with a Winter Break from 12/22-1/2. It is chilly at Bushkill. We recommend wearing athletic pants, and something that you will be comfortably warm in but can still put elbow pads over.

What to expect the first night:
- We will first have you fill out some initial paperwork (rink waiver, emergency contact form), and then get you squared away with your gear.

- You will meet the recruitment team, learn about the course syllabus, and learn a little more about what to expect during the course of the boot camp. Then, we will get you up and working on some skating basics!

Other important information:
- This is not a learn to skate from scratch course: Participants will be expected to have some baseline skating skills (i.e.- able to skate a few laps without needing to hang on to the wall).
- This program is built on consistency and skill progression, so commitment to the program is essential. This is not a "drop-in when you feel like it" arrangement.

If you are on board to stay with the program after the first night (if you come and decide it's not your jam, no hard feelings!), you will owe $35/mo for boot camp dues for the duration of the program. (This increases to $50/mo once you become a full member of the league).

If you decide the skating portion is not for you, but you still want to hang out with us and be involved with the league, we can get you squared away with becoming an NSO (non-skating official).
