It, along with the Congregational Church, are the landmarks of the town of Easton. Without the church, serving as the first meeting house, the town would not exist. And without the generosity of Samuel Staples, who donated the land and money to create the school, education for both boys and girls would have been much more difficult. While the school is no longer active, the original building remains, and we are trying to raise funds for its upkeep so that it will continue to remind us of our heritage for another 200 years.
