Join us for a morning of cleaning up our beautiful surroundings and making a positive impact on the environment. A total of 1.32 hectares of the France Quarry site have been recognised as being of importance for its wildlife value, and it is designated a Site of Nature Conservation Interest.We are doing the clean up with Future Portland Community Benefit Society who are attempting to save the quarry from development.We will be meeting at Crown Farm Terrace.As usual the event is child & dog friendly with free hot drinks and biscuits for volunteers.All equipment is provided except gloves, please dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.
