Join us for the prequel to The (M) Factor film that catapulted the conversation around menopause to a new level of visibility! This is an opportunity to gather and share our own perimenopause perspectives in a discussion after the film, led by a panel of menopause specialists.

BEFORE THE PAUSE reveals the hidden reality of perimenopause through the voices of women whose lives are disrupted and dismissed. A teacher is told her symptoms are “all in her head” even as she struggles at home and in the classroom. A firefighter navigates heavy periods with no women’s bathroom in sight. Doctors themselves admit they lack the knowledge to adequately help the patients sitting in front of them. By centering these stories alongside leading experts, the film exposes a systemic blind spot and makes a powerful case for why early awareness can transform women’s health, careers, and sense of self. 4:15 – Discussion with Q& A led by Menopause Society Certified Providers Vanessa Ross, Carly Detterman, Anastasia Hallisey, and Jane Epstein.

This event is free. When you join us for the film, you will have the option to make a donation to support Midwifery Exchange in Ghana, a New England-based organization that collaborates with Ghanaian midwives to bring life-saving supplies and education to health centers in rural Ghana.
