It contains veterans from the Civil War, Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, making it an important site of military remembrance. The gravestones reflect changing funerary art and epitaph traditions, from Victorian symbolism to more modern markers.For local historians and genealogists, Brookside is a key source of family history, chronicling generations of Easthampton residents.This program is supported in part by a grant from the Easthampton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.Meet and park in the cemetery.Please wear comfortable shoes and prepare to be out in the grass.
