Big Night

Every year, as winter recedes and spring rains begin, a mass migration of frogs and salamanders travel to vernal pools to find a mate and lay eggs. For these small creatures, it's the biggest night of the year!

Join the celebration at Arcadia's favorite family-friendly amphibian event. With fun indoor and outdoor activities, you'll see why we make such a big deal about Big Night.

Grab a net and explore a vernal pool with an educator for an up-close look at aquatic creatures.
Experience the spring amphibian migration journey as you crawl through a human-sized salamander tunnel.
Warm up inside while making an amphibian-themed craft.
Relax in a cozy space where you can curl up with a book about frogs and salamanders.

Registration is required. Please select your arrival time based on the Vernal Pool Crew performance you wish to attend.
