Tuesday February 17th @1 and 3PM
For Teens & Adults at 1pm and Youth at 3pm (children 8 and under should be accompanied by an adult)
 
Combining creativity, science and imagination we create unique handmade papers from plants. Our adventure will then take our freshly made wet sheets of paper and turn them into 3 dimensional sculptural forms exploring nature and sea life using colors, texture and pattern. 
No prior experience with papermaking is necessary.
Please bring an open mind and a playful spirit.
If you have any of these things easily available you might want to bring:
A cookie sheet or flat cardboard (for transporting your wet sculpture home)
A towel and a rolling pin (for “quick-drying the paper)
An apron (waterproof is preferred)
Some fibrous object you might wish to include in your “piece”, some yarn, embroidery thread, fabric scrap or feather or ?
Newspaper, tape and watercolors will be provided to use as armatures and to decorate the finished sculptures.
