Patrick Hamilton’s Gaslight is the original psychological thriller – a chilling study of trust, control, and the quiet terror of losing your grip on reality.

In the uneasy gloom of Victorian London, newly married Bella Manningham begins to doubt her own senses. Gaslights dim and brighten without reason, footsteps echo in the sealed rooms above, small objects vanish and reappear. Her husband insists she is imagining it all. But is she truly descending into madness, or is something far more sinister at work behind the walls of their elegant home?

Featuring Corrinne Wicks (Doctors, Emmerdale), Tom Butcher (The Bill), Michael Kirk (The Devil’s Hour, A Very British Murder) and Gemma Page (Inside No.9, Peaky Blinders) this story reminds us how easily love can become manipulation, and how terrifyingly fragile the mind can be when the lights begin to fade.
