- **Event Description**: The East Troy Railroad Museum is celebrating the 100th birthday of three of our South Shore cars, all of them manufactured by the Pullman Company in Chicago in 1926!

We have a number of activities planned for the day, including a lunch train, cake and punch in the Depot, a raffle of several South Shore items, tickets and other prizes, plus information in the Depot about the South Shore Line and its history.

The National Park Service will help us tell the history of the South Shore Line and the South Shore cars we run in East Troy. A train will depart from the Depot every hour on the hour, plus a lunch train will depart following the Noon train.

Cars 6, 9, and 13 were built in 1926 at the large Pullman Car and Manufacturing Company plant in Chicago. Cars 9 and 13 will provide rides throughout the day, and Car 6, awaiting restoration, will be on display. These cars operated between Randolph Street in Chicago and South Bend, Indiana, until retirement in 1983.

Other Chicago-area equipment will also be part of the day, including our three 1924-vintage 4000-series Chicago 'L' cars and our 1929-vintage CSS&SB cars nos. 30 and 33. Other railroad equipment from Chicago, including vintage Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee interurban cars, may be on display or operating during the day.

Guests can also enjoy posters and information about the South Shore Line and its history, learn more about the new “Monon” route in Chicago, and hear about the cars’ connection to the Indiana Dunes.

Tickets are good all day! Ride as many trains as you would like!

10am – First train of the day departs East Troy
11am – Second train departs East Troy
12pm – Third train departs East Troy
12:10pm – Lunch train departs East Troy
1pm – Fourth train departs East Troy
2pm – Fifth train departs East Troy
2:20pm – Lunch train returns to East Troy
2:30pm – Birthday Cake and Punch in the Depot
3:00pm – Sixth Train departs East Troy
3:00pm – Speaker inside the VIP Tent*
4:20pm – Three Car Train returns to East Troy*
4:30pm – Drawing for Raffle Winners
