Topics include the fundamentals of safe surfaces, walkways and floors, stairs and fixed ladders, and portable ladders and scaffolding. Participants will also discuss measures employees can take to prevent slip, trip, and falls, as well as related OSHA safety standards and best practices. Slips, trips, and falls are consistently one of our largest Workers’ Compensation claim categories - and can be one of the most easily preventable too.Who Should Attend: Employees from any department, but especially those from Department of Public Works, Building and Grounds, Facilities Maintenance, Water, Wastewater, Parks and Recreation, as well as Human Resources.Instructor: Eric Brett, Environmental Health, and Safety Instructor, EC Brett, LLCRegistration Information:Available to Members of The Workers' Compensation Program only. Advance registration at www.ritrust.com is required.Registration is limited to 4 employees per Member. If you have additional employees you would like added to our wait list, please let us know.Registration Deadline is Monday, March 30, 2026.There will be a $50 "No Show" fee for anyone who registers but then fails to attend the training.
