One of East Palestine's most unique Independence Day traditions is making its return!
Originally started in the early 1970s by the late Dick Herriott, the Bed Race quickly became a community favorite. It wasn't just about racing—it was about neighbors coming together, getting creative, sharing a few laughs, and enjoying some friendly competition. Families, businesses, organizations, and groups of friends built imaginative racing beds and created memories that have lasted for generations.
This year, EP ACT (East Palestine Area Community Together) is proud to help bring this tradition back for a new generation to enjoy.
So gather your team, design your bed, and get ready to race!

? Race Begins: 2:00 PM
? $25 per team (pay on race day)
Teams consist of: ?️ 4 Pushers ? 1 Rider (helmet required)
