Enjoy an engaging presentation in the unique space of the Erickson's kiva.About Dr. Josh Cowen:Josh Cowen is a Professor of Education Policy at Michigan State University and a Senior Fellow at the Education Law Center. Cowen has written, testified and spoken widely on education policy and politics. His writing has appeared in outlets like the Brookings Institution Chalkboard, Time Magazine, the Hechinger Report, the Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle, the Philadelphia Inquirer and The New Republic, and been covered at NPR, CBS News, Forbes, CNN, Time and other major media outlets. Josh Cowen’s first book, The Privateers: How Billionaires Created a Culture War and Sold School Vouchers (Harvard Education Press), is an inside look at voucher politics and policy within the broader culture war battles.Event Details:The event location is Erickson Kiva within the College of Education's building at the corner of Farm Lane and Shaw LaneDoors open at 6 p.m. Remarks begin at 6:30 p.m. The event will conclude at approximately 7:30 p.m.Attendees must register in advanceEmployee parking spaces near Erickson Hall open to the public at 6 p.m.The Mid-Michigan Spartans are not able to provide refreshments for this event. Guests are welcome to bring lite refreshments of their choice for personal consumption, if needed.This is a complimentary event. As with previous events, an additional ticket option exists for individuals interested in supporting the club's operational expenses with a modest gift. The donation ticket is not a ticket to the event. If you wish to attend the event and make a donation, please use both ticket options.
