Bach to the dazzling virtuosity of Moritz Moszkowski. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, where she studied with Frank Iogha, and a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music, where she received a piano scholarship and studied with Zenon Fishbein.Since 1982, Tedesco has served on the music faculty of St. John’s University, teaching music history, theory, classical piano, and fine arts. She has received numerous teacher-scholar awards for excellence in teaching and performance and has been recognized by her department for presenting annual performance scholarship concerts since 1990.Tedesco made her debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, where The New York Times praised her playing for its “intelligent articulation” in Bach and “languid phrasing” in Ravel.An accomplished performer, lecturer, and adjudicator, Tedesco has performed throughout the New York region and has guided generations of young musicians. Her students have appeared at Weill Recital Hall, Bruno Walter Auditorium, Symphony Space, and Baruch Performing Arts Center. She has served on the Board of the Associated Music Teachers League and as an adjudicator for the National Guild student auditions.Tedesco is also committed to supporting young people through music.
