Abby Jeanne & The Shadowband is a NYC based indie/garage soul band, birthed in 2024 as the latest project by frontwoman Abby Jeanne. Raised in Milwaukee by her theatrical parents by day and a degenerate rock and roll café by night, she was immersed in music, rebellion, and spectacle from the start. Shaped by her unconventional upbringing and years of being a solo artist, she eventually crafted the Shadowband Universe.

The sounds of The Shadowband drift between wailing, soulful vocals that are reminiscent of Etta James and the gritty cool of The Velvet Underground, wrapped in subtle odes to garage, surf, soul, and psychedelia. Abby Jeanne’s songwriting feels like stepping inside a bewitched jukebox—where heartbreak, mystery, and teenage dreams collide. Think Roy Orbison meets The Ramones, with swooning melodies tangled in fuzzy guitars, punk rock attitude, and undeniably catchy pop choruses.
