- **Event Description**: The outfield fence at the city's only public baseball field is covered in invasive plants and could use some tidying up! Join the Friends of Carondelet Park as we clean up the outfield fence to improve safety and visibility in the outfield. We will begin with a quick safety and plant identification lesson before we get started. This event will be much simpler than other invasive removal events because we know that we need to clean up the entire fence. Everything must go! If we have enough volunteers for the baseball field, some may split off and work on removing new honeysuckle sprouts in areas we cleared in 2025. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

The baseball field at the Carondelet Park Rec Complex

When:
Saturday, March 14, 2026, 10am-2pm. Volunteer check-in will begin at 9:45pm.

What to wear:
Clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, we recommend long pants and sleeves, as well as closed toe shoes.
Sturdy shoes or boots
Dress for the weather!

What to bring:
A filled bottle of water - we recommend reusable!
Tools will be provided, but if you prefer your own, you are welcome to bring them
Sunscreen
Bug/tick spray, and some will be provided
