On the 69th anniversary of the last NYO&W train on March 29th, 1957, the O&W Historical Society will host a driving tour from East Branch to Sidney along the O&W Main Line. From there, we will return via the Franklin RR & Community Museum, the Delhi Branch, and the Delaware & Northern. 

Highlights include (but are not limited to)
- Main Line Bridge over the Delaware at Fish's Eddy
- Cadosia Station
- ROW up to Apex and down 
- Walton
- "Zig-Zag" Tunnel and the switchbacks 
- Maywood Station and the horseshoe curve 
- Susquehanna River Bridge remains at Sidney
- Private car "Warwick" at Franklin Railroad & Community Museum
- Entirety of the Delhi Branch including existing structures 

Bonus tracking of the little-remembered Delaware & Northern Railroad (1905-1942) from Downsville back to East Branch. 

This event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC. Just show up at 09:00 BEHIND THE EAST BRANCH FIRE DEPARTMENT prepared to either drive or carpool; we need to minimize the number of vehicles. You need not be an O&WRHS Member.

BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH. We will plan on taking a short lunch break at Maywood, but there isn't anywhere to purchase food there. There's so much to see on this tour that we won't have time to stop and sit at a restaurant like we did last year at Roscoe.  

THERE WILL BE ALMOST NO CELL COVERAGE. We will be covering some very remote areas of New York, so we'll need to keep the convoy together the best we can. Joey and I are looking into Walkie-Talkies. If you have a trip-guide, bring it. If not, we will look to bring spares and offer them for sale. 

THE SCHEDULE IS TIGHT. This is a full 8 hour day, if not more. We will be making stops, but this tour is meant to introduce people to areas of the NYO&W that they've never seen - it will be just a taste. Our schedule will not afford extended stops, and in many cases, we will be slow rolling past a lot of the miles of ROW 

MAKE PLANS ACCORDINGLY. If 8 hours is a little much and you would like to leave after Sidney or after we finish the Delhi Branch at Walton, carpool with someone who plans on doing the same. Use this event as a forum to discuss plans or coordinate rides.
