with Artist, Jennifer Koury
3-day workshop on Thursdays
February 26th March 5th & 12th from 9:30am-1:00pm
In this workshop, students will go through the process of developing a composition for a landscape painting, with a goal of communicating personal feelings and intent about a subject or story. Working in the paint medium of their choice, and with the instructor’s guidance, individuals will develop value sketches and decide on a composition, layout, and format. Over the next two classes, students will continue to develop a final, larger painting focusing on value structure and a focal point to effectively communicate a feeling, helped along by the instructor and group critique. This class is open to those of any experience.
Since students have the option to work in the paint medium of their choice, all materials will be supplied by each individual. A suggested supply list will be sent.
