Playing board games fosters a sense of accomplishment, can be a positive distraction from daily stressors, and contribute to emotional and mental well-being by providing social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and stress relief. They can improve mood, reduce anxiety, and enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills. However, sitting for long periods of time can create tension and pain in the body. By combining yoga and playing games, we can address the issues that come up in our bodies from prolonged sitting (driving, working on a computer, or playing games), create neural plasticity in our brains, and cultivate social connections around shared activities. Games will be provided to play, but feel free to bring your favorites!
