The Neurodiverse Business Network Launch: Understanding and Respecting Different Brains in Business
The Neurodiverse Business Network connects and supports neurodivergent and neurotypical professionals through conversation, education, and community. The Network exists to build awareness, increase understanding, and inspire real inclusion across workplaces and industries.
Our aim is to debunk misconceptions, educate with clarity, and create an open, respectful space where neurodivergent and neurotypical people can learn from each other.
Join speakers Lesley Buckman, Leadership and Communication Coach, and Cheryl Alderman, Executive Coach and Speaker, for an evening of real conversation and insight. Together they’ll explore what it means to truly understand, support, and celebrate neurodiversity in the workplace and beyond.

Key Themes We’ll Cover
~Neurodiversity vs Neurodivergence — what these terms really mean, why they’re often confused, and how understanding the difference changes the way we communicate and connect.
~Everyday Realities of Neurodivergent Brains — from meltdowns to deep questioning, learn how behaviours that may seem challenging are often natural strategies for clarity and regulation.
~Breaking Down Stereotypes and Misconceptions — shifting from assumptions to understanding, and learning how awareness and language create safety and inclusion.
~Respecting Different Brains in Action — recognising that diversity of thought strengthens teams, businesses, and communities, and discovering how small adjustments can make a big difference.
~Open Questions and Conversation — an opportunity to ask what you’ve always wanted to know and take part in genuine, judgement-free dialogue.
How We Communicate Here:
When you arrive, you’ll choose a coloured lanyard as part of our Traffic Light Communication System. It’s a simple, respectful way to signal how you’d like to engage:
🟢 Green – I’m open to conversation and connection.
🟡 Yellow – I’m happy to talk but may need time or clarity.
🔴 Red – I’m observing or recharging and not ready for conversation right now.
This is one of the ways we make our events welcoming and inclusive — no awkward moments or second guessing, just clear communication from the start.
Book in now and reserve your seat.
With thanks to our major sponsor the Seville Mercy Centre.
