- **Event Description**: A Communal Ceremony for Our TimesAbout this EventGrief & Gratitude Ritual: A Communal Ceremony for Our TimesIn these times of great change, many of us are carrying unspoken grief. We grieve the loss of loved ones, the breaking of relationships, the fading of health or youth. We grieve for the state of the world, for our fragile ecosystems, for wars and injustices, for the unraveling of culture and community. We grieve for dreams that never took shape, for the care we needed but never received. So often these sorrows are minimised or silenced. We are told to “move on,” to stay strong, to carry our pain in private. Yet grief unexpressed does not disappear. It lodges in the body, dims our vitality, and leaves us feeling disconnected from ourselves and from life. When grief is welcomed in community, something profound happens. Sorrow reveals its hidden twin: love. Our hearts open. We remember that we do not carry our burdens alone. We discover the medicine of shared humanity, of being witnessed, and of returning to the village our souls have longed for. This is why we are offering this larger-scale Grief & Gratitude Ritual. While our smaller circles create intimacy, this gathering will allow us to experience the collective power of grieving together in a larger field of resonance. The scale of this ritual matters. At a time when so much loss is collective, our healing too must be collective. This will be the only in-person grief ritual we hold in 2025. If you feel the call, this is your chance to be part of a rare and powerful ceremony.Who This Is ForThis ritual is for anyone carrying grief in any form, personal, ancestral, or collective. Whether you are mourning a recent loss, tending to old wounds, or grieving for the Earth and our shared future, you are welcome. You do not need previous experience of grief work to join us. All that is required is your willingness to come with an open heart. If you’re unsure if this right for you to attend, please email Tanya at tanya@tanyaforgan.comWhat You Can ExpectGrief rituals are a soft doorway into shared humanity. They ask us to lean into vulnerability, to trust the holding of community, and to remember that grief is a natural river that moves when witnessed. In circle, what was once unsayable begins to find language.Shame loosens its grip, and the weight we’ve carried alone starts to soften.During our time together you’ll be gently invited intowriting and reflectionsong and poetrymovement and embodimentdeep listening and presence ~ intimate and whole-group sharingEach practice is an open invitation, whether what moves through you is numbness, rage, trembling, stillness, wailing, or quiet silence. All of it belongs. We will close with a communal ritual, drawing on the wisdom of Francis Weller, to help frame and bless our journey together.Everything offered will be invitational, you choose how deeply to engage. There is no expectation to “go” anywhere you are not ready to go.Why NowWe are living through times that call us to feel deeply, together. To face what is breaking, and to remember what is unbroken. To make space for tears, song, rage, silence, gratitude, and love, all parts of our shared humanity.Grief, when expressed and witnessed, becomes a pathway back to life. Gratitude anchors us in what remains, reminding us that even in the darkest times, beauty and connection endure.Together, we weave grief and gratitude into one cloth, honouring the pain of loss, and celebrating the gift of being alive.Giving BackWe are proud to donate 10% of our profits to , a small but mighty humanitarian organisation delivering rapid, grassroots aid to communities affected by war, displacement, and disaster. Run by a husband-and-wife team, Humanitet works directly with local partners to provide food, water, medicine, and essential supplies where they’re needed most, ensuring transparency and dignity every step of the way. With minimal overheads and a deep commitment to integrity, their work restores hope in places where it’s needed most. By supporting us, you’re also helping them, extending the reach of compassion, one act of care at a time.Warmly Held ByTanya Forgan ~ Circle Facilitator, Yoga & Mindfulness MentorCatherine Holt ~ Musician, Healing Sound Artist, and Facilitator https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events2/banners/ed351cd0-b101-11f0-8cf0-0ba3f52179db-rimg-w1200-h675-dc759031-gmir.jpg Tanya Forgan is a group facilitator, ritualist, and embodiment guide devoted to creating spaces where grief, love, and the fullness of life can be honoured. With a passion for helping people feel truly alive, she crafts breathtaking experiences of ritual, embodiment, and Circle, spaces of belonging where the heart opens and the soul remembers its place in the whole. She believes grief is the most exquisite emotion, revealing the depth of our love, and that by deepening our capacity to love we build the resilience needed to meet life fully, with courage, tenderness, and connection. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events8/banners/ee08c080-b101-11f0-8cf0-0ba3f52179db-rimg-w953-h740-dc756347-gmir.jpg Catherine Holt is a musician, teacher, facilitator, and sound therapist devoted to exploring what it means to be fully human and alive. With a passion for sound, music, belonging, she tends the transformative fire of community, creating spaces where people can rest into truth, discover connection, and awaken to the healing power of vibration. She believes peace is found in embracing both darkness and light, and that by returning to ourselves and to each other, we come Home, to the Circle, the village, and the belonging that makes us whole.
