- **Event Description**: Join Trees For Tomorrow staff on a snowshoe at one of Tara Lila's beautiful units of trails to look for animal signs and tracks while enjoying the beauty of a Northwoods winter. “My favorite thing about winter is that while the world seems quiet and sleepy, if you look at the snow you can find the stories of the lives of wild animals all around you!” says educator Bethany. You’ll learn about which animals are active in the winter and how they adapt to survive our cold temperatures.

Participants will meet at Trees for Tomorrow to begin the program with a brief introduction to animal tracks and to pick up borrowed snowshoes. The group will then caravan over to the field location to begin our hike.

This Tara Lila sponsored program is FREE to the public, although pre-registration is required, and spaces are limited. Registration can be found at: https://www.treesfortomorrow.com/Current-Activities/

This program is suggested for participants age 10 and older. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Snowshoes are available to borrow for those who request them in advance. This program will be held outdoors in all weather conditions, so dress appropriately and bring a water bottle. There is an outhouse available at the starting point of the hike. Please feel free to call and speak to program coordinator Bethany with any further questions!

Pick up snowshoes
