During this class (the first of 3 on this day) we'll discuss why bio blitzes are important tools for scientists. We will then learn the basics of birding in a classroom presentation before heading into the field to practice our new skills.

TFT is honored to have guest speaker Frank Schroyer of the Northwoods Land Trust as our birding instructor. Frank will teach about the connections between habitats and species as well as share some fabulous resources you can use as you continue your birding adventures after this program.

Bathrooms will be available for the indoor portion of the program. Participants are encouraged to wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Water bottles and snacks are recommended. Feel free to bring things to assist with your birding such as binoculars and field guides.

This Tara Lila sponsored program is FREE to the public, although pre-registration is required, and spaces are limited. Bio Blitz Birding with the Northwoods Land Trust is suggested for participants 15 years of age and older. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
