The Winemakers Reserve is a family owned and operated winery, located in the West Valley of Woodinville, Washington Wine Country. Owner and Winemaking Director, Matthew Loso (read his story below), founded The Winemakers Reserve in 2017. A state-of-the-art winemaking facility offering production from grape to bottle to premium winemakers, as well as a beautiful winery, tasting room, and event space. It is the only one of its kind in Western Washington.

Our wines are crafted and processed by our talented winemaking team, guided by best winemaking practices and procedures developed by our Winemaking Director, Matthew Loso. All grapes are grown and picked to spec at a variety of the finest vineyards in Washington State. They are then trucked in and processed using state-of-the-art equipment, while still practicing old wine processes and procedures.

Matt’s story –

With over 30 years in the wine industry, Matthew has established himself as a world-renowned Washington winemaker, receiving many awards and accolades along the way. The founder of the acclaimed Matthews Cellars, Matthew has now turned his attention to the creation of The Winemakers Reserve and his personal creative outlet, Matteo Wines.

His love for wine was kindled at a young age, propelling him to the position of Cellarmaster and Winemaker at a small Woodinville winery in 1992. The inaugural release of Matthews Cellars in 1993 saw its first vintage completely sell out within 30 days! By 1997, Matthews Cellars had firmly established itself as one of Washington State’s most respected wineries.

After parting ways with Matthews Cellars in 2008, Matthew introduced Woodinville’s “Woodinville Custom Wines”, better known as “The Winemakers Reserve”. The sprawling 40,000 sq ft facility features a meticulously designed Cellar room complete with cutting edge tanks and state-of-the-art winemaking equipment.

Matthew and his wife Zoie own and operate The Winemakers Reserve and Woodinville Custom Wines, and you may see their children (Jordan, Matteo and Kate) there working from time to time.

Matthew’s enduring vision has always been to craft the finest quality Washington Wines, as well as bring the best wines from around the world to our local community.
