- **Event Description**: Friday, July 25th. Start by taking a short easy hike around the farm to find long grasses and natural elements to add to your tapestry. No experience required, but if you have experience we will push your skills further. We will cover threading a frame loom, basic over under weaving with one color, adding natural materials to your weaving, adding a second color in 2 different ways, and some basic navajo and meet and kiss tapestry. Then for the more advanced students we will add textured techniques, such as Rya, Soumak, looped pile, and tapestry using a basic cartoon. This class can be taken more than once to expand your skills.

All required yarn and tools will be provided, but feel free to bring any special bits of yarn or plant material you’d like to incorporate into your weaving.

We will be working on Schacht Lilli tapestry looms, which you will have the option to purchase onsite.
