- **Event Description**: Have you ever been interested in Gelli Plate Printing? It is quite a fun and playful artmaking process. In this class, we’ll be using acrylics as our medium and the Gelli plate as our surface. Everything else you use is going to be a creative adventure! You can be spontaneous with the way you create your artwork—the Gelli plate is flexible enough to take on whatever object you choose. 

In addition to using stencils, you can use random items from around the house like Q-tips, toilet paper rolls, rubber bands, and anything that will imprint an image! You’ll be amazed at the possibilities at your disposal. In this class, you’ll learn what colors work well together, how to create negative and positive images, and how to create layers for more complex pieces.

Cost: $60/person+tax, includes all supplies and instruction

Beka Bielman is a fine artist, wife, and mother living in Duvall, WA. She and her small family came to Duvall from Bainbridge Island right before the pandemic. She graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing. She took a few printmaking classes as a part of her major and enjoyed the process. She came back to it after many years, taking her first class in relief and reductive printmaking at the Kirkland Arts Center. She became enamored with the process of carving and printing and transitioned from oils and charcoal drawings to printmaking. Beka also has a fondness for watercolor, and it shows up in her work.
