- **Event Description**: Come, join the fun of the Gelli Printing process with our new class! We’ll take what you’ve learned in the Intro class and use it to create a whole new artwork (note: you do not need to take Intro to Gelli Plate Printing to attend this class—all levels of art experience are welcome). 

In this class, you will spend the first half of class creating your palette of paper. This will be a great excuse to learn and practice color mixing skills. Out of this “palette,” you could end up creating 2 – 3 pieces of artwork. In this process, you will either choose to follow the example provided, or you can go off script and create a piece of your own design. We’ll go over creating positive and negative space and creating a clear composition. Let the art flow and have fun with it!

About the Instructor: Beka Bielman is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Fine Arts specializing in Painting and Drawing. She has been a printmaker for several years focusing in relief and reductive printmaking techniques. Beka sees each opportunity to teach art as a unique and fun way to connect with others, no matter the experience they have.
