Thanks to our campaign, Council is doing detailed investigations to improve Annerley Rd, including: 
- Protected bike & scooter lanes
- Safe crossings at Cornwall St and Noble St near Dutton Park station
- A new safe crossing over Annerley Rd near Denham St and
- Safer speed limits

Join our pedal-powered movement for a better suburb, and grab a coffee & treat afterwards. 

START: Meet at 9am at Gair Park (outside BSSSC). 
RIDE: We'll ride south on Annerley Rd down to Annerley Junction, then back to Paper Moon cafe. 
CHAT & COFFEE: We'll book some big tables at Paper Moon Coffee House (near Dutton Park Station). 

The starting point at Gair Park has space for kids to run around, and we'll bring some snacks to share. 

We’ll travel slowly, and participants can ride on the road or the footpath.

SO WHAT'S THE UPDATE? 
Our campaign is the reason Council successfully applied for State government funding to study bike lanes and the other improvements in 2024. The Council study has been slow, but will finish in mid-2026. We are hoping the study will produce some detailed concept plans and that Council will allocate funding for construction in the coming June budget.   

Council is actively considering these upgrades, but they will only happen with very strong community support.

We'll invite local elected representatives and journalists to see the huge support for safer streets. 

We're hoping for a record turnout to show local support for funding to get these bike lanes and pedestrian safety upgrades built.
