We thought how lovely it would be have a charity night and raise money for some important causes. We have chosen the amazing local charity We Can Dance.

Supporting dance activities for children and young people with special educational needs.

"WE CAN DANCE"

aims to give children and young people with special educational needs the opportunity to access dance through professional teachers mainly trained by the Royal Academy of Dance and the British Association of Teachers of Dancing. The Charity funds regular dance lessons within schools in North and West Yorkshire, County Durham and Teesside and also one- and two- day workshops during term-time.
 
We focus on young people with special educational needs such as profound and multiple learning difficulties, autism, physical disabilities, sensory impairments and behavioural difficulties.  The teachers we provide have experience in teaching children with these needs and classes are planned to give students maximum benefit.
 
“We Can Dance” was registered as a Charity in 2010.

Joining us and bringing laughter, nonsense and dancing in circles is the very unique and wonderfully mad Gill Alleyne. Gill is a regular at our Newcastle congress every year and a very popular lady with an unforgettable style and an abundance of sparkle. 

There will be dancing, music , laughter and a buffet. Really hope you can join us and make this a special night.

The evening starts with a FUN class with Gill at 7.30pm
Its a beautiful venue with a sprung dance floor. It’s just off the A1 and plenty of free parking on site.

It’s in Bowburn, NOT Bowburn Hall Hotel, but the community centre. DH6 5AT
